There is potential inside all of us. But obstacles can get in the way: fear, doubt, a lack of finances, isolation, discrimination. The Y believes that everyone has the skills and ability to achieve. That every obstacle can be met with support, positivity, and guidance. That every single person is worthy of the opportunity to shine. And when each of us shines, the collective strength of an entire community can be realized.
Our goal is not to fix people's challenges. Instead, we provide responsive programs and supports to help them tap into their full potential.
The YMCA of Okanagan was established over 35 years ago as a cause-driven charity with a mission dedicated to building healthy individuals and communities. We provide a wide range of programs and services with a focus on inclusiveness and accessibility, serving people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities through all stages of life.
