Opportunity Description:

Here is an exciting opportunity to become a tutor through the Volunteer Literacy Tutor Program at Okanagan College.  There is a short training session, then you will be matched with an adult student to work on basic literacy or numeracy goals.  Materials and resources are supplied, as well as guidance for lesson plans.  The tutor and student set up the schedule for tutoring sessions, usually 1 to 2 hours per week.  Tutoring can take place at the college, or in a public place such as the library or a coffee shop.  If this seems like a good fit for you, please contact Rene Dahms at rdahms@okanagan.bc.ca or Cathy Udala at cudala@okanagan.bc.ca.
