Reachout To Africa a Canadian Registered Charity (Reg # 840045074RR0001) is about making visible and significant changes in the lives of children, youth and young adults in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa and beyond. Every child is important and deserves the love and support of a caring adult.
We work with dedicated staff and leaders to effect that principal in the schools and areas where we are located. Many thousands of children and youth have been touched by our organization over the past 15 years. We have some of our children come through our program, gone on to become valuable leaders in our system and then onto to college or university or started their own businesses.

The John Howard Society of Okanagan & Kootenay is a registered charity and social service agency operating in the Okanagan community for more than 60 years. Our organization has a strong history of assisting individuals experiencing a variety of challenges and social issues such as poverty, homelessness, mental health concerns, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and involvement in the criminal justice system.
Our goal is to contribute to community wellness by offering services that support clients in a number of areas, including providing and assisting with housing, community reintegration, advocacy, support with mental health and addictions, while learning how to be accountable to others and responsible for themselves. It is important to have compassion balanced with strength so that we may provide the best in care for all of our program participants.
The work of JHSOK is possible because of the combined drive and effort of staff and volunteers, interagency collaboration, partnerships with funders, support by the community, and by the amazing and resilient people we serve.
The Kelowna Chapter is looking for new members to join the annual Gutsy Walk Committee for 2021! The Gutsy Walk is Crohn's and Colitis Canada's annual fundraising event which will be held virtually this year. Committee roles include Media Promotion Lead, Sponsorship Lead, and Digital leads. Crohn’s and Colitis Canada volunteers, in partnership with staff, are making a difference in the lives of children and adults living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Our coast-to-coast network of thousands of volunteers are leaders in their communities, using the gift of time and talents to help people with inflammatory bowel disease by providing professional skills, educating others, advocating for healthy public policy and helping to raise money so that Crohn’s and Colitis Canada can continue to fund critical research, patient programs, advocacy and awareness initiatives.

We deliver innovative programs and powerful advocacy that empower people impacted by blindness to live their dreams and tear down barriers to inclusion. Ozanam Recovery House is a 19-bed transition home located in Kelowna, BC for adult men who are struggling with addictions, mental health issues, or both. With a permanent staff 24/7, and a core group of volunteers, Ozanam Recovery House focuses specifically on those individuals who show a motivation and desire to change. At Ozanam Recovery House, we believe that by making positive changes to your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being, you will learn to live without addictions and access a higher quality of life.

We rescue consumable food waste from local businesses throughout the Okanagan. We then redistribute back into the community through partners, community fridge and public pickup locations.
We have a 1/4acre garden that has been donated to us and we are growing food to be able to hand back into the community.

Vacant positions include treasurer, secretary and directors at large. OGC is one of the largest centres in the province providing Kelowna with a full range of recreational and competitive gymnastics. Our lodges are welcoming homes away from home for people with cancer who need to travel to receive treatment. Our caring staff and volunteers are trained to help meet your practical needs during cancer treatment. The lodges also offer social and emotional support through different programs and activities. They are places where you can:
- Meet other people with cancer and their families
- Connect with those who understand what you are going through.
