Show Kelowna Some Love This February

Show Kelowna Some Love This February

Community

February is often called the month of love. Usually, we think about chocolates, flowers, or dinner dates. But this year, why not show some love to your community, too?

Here in Kelowna, there are many nonprofit organizations that need a helping hand. The winter months can be tough for these groups. Volunteers often stay indoors because of the cold, leaving gaps that need to be filled.

Why volunteer this month?

  • Connect with neighbours: It’s easy to feel isolated in the winter. Volunteering gets you out of the house to meet people at local community events.
  • Warm your heart: It sounds cheesy, but helping others really does make you feel better. It’s a great way to beat the winter blues (we write about this often on our blog).
  • Make an impact: Whether it's a food bank, a shelter, or a fundraiser, your time makes a real difference to the people of Okanagan.

Find your match

You don’t need to commit to a huge project. Even a few hours can help. Check our current volunteer opportunities to see who is looking for help in Kelowna right now.

You can also keep an eye on our community news section to see what else is happening locally. Let's make this February special for everyone.
