2026 AHM Multicultural Community Showcase
Organized by Asian Heritage Month Committee
About this Event
Join us for the 15th anniversary of Asian Heritage Month in the Okanagan. A professional showcase of over 10 cultural performances, heritage
The Asian Heritage Month Committee, along with our partners, invites you to the 2026 Asian Heritage Multicultural Community Showcase. As the signature finale of Asian Heritage Month, this event brings together civic leaders, professional cultural practitioners, and the public to explore our 2026 theme: "Heritage as Social Capital."
In a rapidly evolving region, we believe that heritage is more than a memory of the past—it is a vital asset for our collective future. This showcase is a high-level convergence designed to demonstrate how the diverse ancestral roots of Asian Canadians act as a catalyst for social innovation and a driver of intercultural collaboration.
What to Expect:
- Cultural Performances: Over 10 curated performances featuring Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Indian, and Vietnamese traditions, showcasing talent across generations.
- Heritage Exhibition: Explore our "Ordinary Histories of Extraordinary People" display, highlighting the deep-rooted contributions of diverse Asian communities to the Okanagan's social and economic fabric.
- Authentic Culinary Experience: A curated selection of Asian foods and drinks will be available for purchase (on-site tickets).
- Community Dialogue: Engage with community knowledge keepers and civic leaders dedicated to fostering a sustainable and inclusive society.
