Opportunity Description:

The Reading Mentor of NITEO Africa Society is a dedicated and caring volunteer committed to furthering NITEO’s mission of supporting children and families to develop the literacy skills needed to build bright and hopeful futures. This is achieved through supporting and encouraging children and parents/caregivers to read, role modeling a positive and enthusiastic attitude during program, and teaching families about the resources available to them in their local library branch. The Reading Mentor is responsible to the Program facilitator. Volunteer Orientation: October 1 Volunteer Commitment: Weekly on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 5-7pm October 7 – November 26th Downtown Kelowna or Rutland libraries
